DIOCESE—Parishes in the Rockford Diocese celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe in a variety of ways.
Some offer a novena leading up to the feast day, Dec.12.

Some offer “las mañanitas” — a birthday-like song for Our Lady — and Masses on the feast day.

At several parishes, there are also receptions at one or more of the gatherings.
