DIOCESE—Denise Dobrowolski is now the director of Charitable Giving for the Rockford Diocese.
She comes to the position after beginning work at the diocese in 2008. She has worked for several departments including first as a web design and content specialist for the Education Office, developing the department’s previous website.
She then worked as business manager at Boylan Central Catholic High School.
Most recently, Dobrowolski has been serving at the Finance and Administration Office on a committee to research alternative software for diocesan record keeping. She also helped DIAL and the accounting department make the change to the new software and develop a new diocesan chart of accounts.
She also assisted in Catholic Foundation administration.
Dobrowolski earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a finance major from Loyola University of Chicago in 1986. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Germany with her husband, Jeremy, and worked for Franke Contract Group GmbH in Bad Saeckingen, Germany for several years.
She worked as assistant manager in the purchasing department, helped manage its Novell network, learned new software, and taught Word Perfect in English and German to the office staff.
When the Dobrowolskis moved back to the U.S., she was a stay-at-home mom for their three children.
She continued to take classes in web design, and a variety of software programs. She used those tools in volunteer roles at Holy Family Parish including for the Home and School Association there, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Rock Run Soccer Club and other organizations until she began working at the diocese.
