January 25, 2018
ELGIN—The Knights of Columbus, here, helped pay for an ultrasound machine for TLC, a pregnancy care center.

“We’re grateful to the Knights of Columbus for the generous donation toward a new ultrasound machine,” said Vivian Maley, executive director of TLC. “This was a substantial expense not in our budget at this time.”

The donation contributed by Elgin Council 654 was matched by the Knights of Columbus brotherhood to bring the total to over $20,000.

TLC officials say the funds will be used to purchase a new unit for their mobile van.

“We are grateful to be partner with TLC in helping purchase this equipment to serve our area,” said Grand Knight Chris Gulik.
