On Aug. 5 during Mass at the seminarian retreat at Bishop Lane Retreat Center, Bishop David J. Malloy formally welcomed three young men into the candidacy stage of formation as seminarians of the Diocese of Rockford.

They are Keith Wolfe, Kyle Manno and Charles Fitzpatrick.

He spoke with all the seminarians about the brotherhood of priests and how important it is for them “to really draw closer to Christ (and welcome) the person of Christ deep in our heart, deep in our soul,” particularly through a “fundamental devotion to and love of” Christ in the Eucharist.
