ROCKFORD—Registration and payment to attend the diocesan Millennial Conference are due by April 10. 

 

Cost is $20 per person, which includes a catered lunch. Discounts are available to groups with more than five people.

 

The April 17 conference will be at St. Mary Parish, 10307 Dundee Road in Huntley.

 

Check-in begins at 9 a.m. with presentations starting at  9:30 a.m. 

 

An optional social gathering will be held after the conference ends at 4 p.m.

 

“When it comes to the Millennial generation, we cannot proceed with a ‘business as usual’ or ‘ministry as usual’ mindset,” says Jennifer Collins, director of Life and Family Evangelization in the Rockford Dioicese. 

 

At the conference, she adds, “We will be invited to look at the fundamentals of evangelization in a Millennial context, the common characteristics of this generation, and the unique and diverse challenges facing them today.”

 

Collins encourages anyone interested in helping parish ministries engage better with young people to attend the conference.
