17 Rosary Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

AURORA—Seventeen athletes from the Class of 2018 at Rosary High School here have signed letters of intent to pursue their sport at the college level. 
The 17 athletes represent 23 percent of the graduating Class of 2018. 
Four will swim, four will play softball, two volleyball, two basketball, two cross country/track, one soccer, one rowing, and one golf. They are:
 Mackenzie Adkins, daughter of Jacqueline and Douglas Adkins, will swim for the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado.
 Lauren Brummel, daughter of Scott and Christine Brummel, will play volleyball for Millikin University in Decatur.
 Krystal Cortes, daughter of Sergio and Betsy Cortes, will play softball for Concordia University in Mequon, Wis. 
 Brooke Delahanty, daughter of Katie and Ryan Delahanty, will run cross country and track for the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
 Sydney Drozdowski, daughter of Rick and Cheryl Drozdowski, will play basketball for Augustana College in Rock Island.
 Claire Hengesbaugh, daughter of Tamera and Doug Hengesbaugh, will run cross country and track for Loyola University in Chicago.
 Jenna Hernandez, daughter of Lou and Sara Hernandez, will play basketball for Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
 Carlee Hoschouer, daughter of Carrie Barriga and William Hoschouer, will row for the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla.
 Julianne Hutchison, daughter of Jean and Jeffrey Hutchison, will play soccer for Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla.
 Samantha Laurich, daughter of Julie and Marty Laurich, will swim for Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
 Riley McCue, daughter of Robert and Brenda McCue, will play softball for Centre College in Danville, Ky.
 Xandria Olsen, daughter of Robert and Connie Olsen, will play softball for Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis.
 Catherine Oros, daughter of Edward and Mariane Oros, will play golf for Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Fla.
 Emily Ryan, daughter of Timothy and Heidi Ryan, will swim for Villanova University in Villanova, Penn.
 Camryn Streid, daughter of Robbyn and Gene Streid, will swim for the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
 Maya Sullivan, daughter of Lillie and Mark Sullivan, will play volleyball for the University of Miami in Coral Cable, Fla.
 Maura VanBogaert, daughter of Gail and Phil VanBogaert, will play softball for Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio.
Rosary offers nine competitive sports as well as a dance team and Marmion Academy's cheerleading squad. 
Eighty-two percent of Rosary students participate in athletics. In addition, 82 percent of Rosary`s athletes maintain a grade point average of 3.39 (2016-17).
