Aurora Schools to Become Pope St. John Paul II Catholic Academy
June 7, 2018
AURORA—St. Therese of Jesus, St. Peter, Our Lady of Good Counsel and St. Joseph schools are combining to create one new, two-campus school called Pope St. John Paul II Catholic Academy, here.

The campuses will be located at St. Joseph (north) and Our Lady of Good Counsel (south) and will begin serving students this fall.

Those four parishes plus three others — Sacred Heart, St. Nicholas and St. Mary — will support the new school financially and spiritually.

Academy students will benefit from the combined efforts and resources geared to provide them with a global Catholic education program.

The Aurora-led effort is part of a greater “Faith Forward” strategic planning process for Catholic schools in the diocese.
