HUNTLEY—On July 29 St. Mary Parish, here, held its annual picnic. More than 750 parishioners attended. 

 

The parish priests with help from the St. Mary Knights of Columbus Council 11666 and Ladies Auxiliary 73 organized and staffed the picnic. 

 

The picnic was a thank you from the priests to the parishioners for all they do for the parish family. 

 

This year’s picnic featured bouncy houses, games, a live DJ, bingo and, of course, food.  

 

This was the first Sunday for the parish’s newest priest, Father Plutarco Rodriguez of the Philippines. 

 

His welcome included a blessing from Father Max Striedl, pastor.

 

Attendees also had a chance to be serenaded by Father Rodriguez. 

 

The Huntley Fire Department came to show off the fire truck and ambulance.

 

The picnic ended with a drawing for raffle prizes.
