Galena Eighth-Grader Takes International Free Throw Honors From Knights of Columbus

Brady Schemehorn of Galena was recently recognized as an International Free Throw Champion by the Knights of Columbus.
 
Schemehorn took first place in the KC Free Throw Championship at the Council 696 competition in January.
 
After also taking first place at the district and regional competitions, the Galena eighth-grader advanced to compete in the state competition in Chatham on April 7.
 
At state, Brady sank a perfect 25 of 25 free throws, taking first place and qualifying for International consideration.
 
International champions are determined on the basis of best composite scores from all state and territory level competitions in each category.
