Deacon David Wilbricht Dies, Funeral on Feb. 16 in Hanover

HANOVER—Deacon David P. Wilbricht, 85, of Hanover, died Tuesday, Feb. 12.
He was born June 22, 1933, to Lester and Gertrude Wilbricht in Dubuque, Iowa.
He married his wife, Sue Ann, on Feb. 4, 1961.
Deacon Wilbricht was a teacher and worked in social service for 30 years, retiring from Catholic Charities.
He was ordained a permanent deacon on May 2, 1998, by Bishop Thomas G. Doran, and he served at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Hanover and St. Mary Parish, Elizabeth.
A visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover, followed by a Scripture wake service at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Hanover. His son, Congregation of the Holy Cross Father Stephen Wilbricht, will preside at the funeral Mass.
Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover.
