Early on the morning of June 1, demolition crews began the work of removing the old chancery on the Cathedral of St. Peter campus in Rockford.

 

Work stopped well before ordination began at 11 a.m.

 

Once the old diocesan chancery and unused parish convent are cleared away, work will begin on the planned prayer garden.
