CDA Members Thank DeKalb and Sycamore Catholic School Teachers
June 20, 2019
DEKALB—Catholic Daughters, Immaculate Conception 996 from St. Mary Parish in DeKalb supported teachers at St. Mary schools in DeKalb and Sycamore this school year.
Members picked a teacher as a “secret pal” for the school year, sending notes of encouragement and thanks, little gifts, and surprises for the holidays.
On May 9 during Teacher Appreciation Week, the Catholic Daughters held a “reveal party” to introduce themselves to their secret pals.
Members enjoyed their project and the opportunity it gave them to say thank you for all the teachers do, for the inspiration they provide and for the life-long foundation they build for Catholic School students.
