“The Catholic Faith Explained” by Michel Therrien, STL, STD, writes about the two repositories of our faith — the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. His discusion is couched in 20 short chapters covering topics such as how we come to know God and how to live as a disciple of Jesus.

The graphic novel, “Maximilian Kolbe, Saint of Auschwitz,” is written by Jean-François Vivier and illustrated by Denoël. While it covers the harsh realities of the German concentration camp during World War II, it is appropriate for high school and mature younger readers.
