Seminarians Jeff Filipski, Grant Colburn, and Eric Schreifels were accepted as worthy candidates for the sacrament of Holy Orders Aug. 13.

 

Bishop David Malloy administered the rite of candidacy at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel inside the Diocesan Administration Center in Rockfod as part of the preparation for the men’s ordination to the transitional diaconate and ultimately for the diocesan priesthood.

 

Colburn from the Cathedral of St. Peter, Rockford; Filipski from St. Patrick Parish, St. Charles;  and, Schreifels from St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Crystal Lake, are scheduled to be ordained priests in 2024.
