Silver and Gold Mass to be Virtual Nov. 15
November 5, 2020
DIOCESE—Despite the restrictions due to COVID-19, couples who are celebrating their 25th, 50th, or over-50th wedding anniversary will still be honored.
“Though we are unable to gather this year for the annual Silver and Gold Mass and Celebration, the Life and Family Evangelization Office would like to recognize those couples celebrating significant wedding anniversaries in 2020,” said Jennifer Collins, director of the LiFE Office.
Bishop David Malloy will celebrate a virtual Silver and Gold Mass Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.
Celebrating couples and their families and friends may “tune in” online on the Diocese of Rockford website at www.rockforddiocese.org, on the Diocese of Rockford Facebook page, or on the Diocese of Rockford YouTube channel.
In addition, the LiFE Office will be presenting the traditional commemorative certificate to celebrating couples, who will be listed among those celebrating a milestone anniversary this year. Register for a certificate online at www.rockforddiocese.org/anniversary.
The deadline to submit names and request a certificate prior to the Mass is Nov. 9.
