Holy Family Parishioners Provide Gifts for Catholic Charities Families in Rockford
December 24, 2020
Gifts provided by Holy Family parishioners in Rockford – through its annual Giving Tree project – were collected by Catholic Charities staff on Monday, Dec. 14.

Normally, presents purchased for members of refugee families are distributed at the agency’s annual Christmas party for those families at St. Bernadette Parish.

With current pandemic restrictions this year, the presents were brought to three area Catholic Charities programs – Refugee Resettlement Services, St. Elizabeth Catholic Community Center, and Adolescent Outreach/Pregnancy and Parenting Program.

Holy Family Parish also collected gifts for residents of an area nursing home as well as paper and cleaning supplies and winter clothing.

The Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 13123 collected 40 coats for children and adults.

Others that provided monetary gifts for Catholic Charities clients were Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 996 Immaculate Conception and St. Mary Parish, both in DeKalb, and St. Bernadette Parish in Rockford.
