Maytown Group Continues to Sew Good Will with Handcrafted Donations
September 9, 2021
MAYTOWN—The sewing group from St. Patrick Parish here continues to dress the world’s children with a recent donation of 50 dresses and 37 pairs of shorts.

Members of the sewing group met recently with Debbie Ward and Joyce Peterson, representatives of Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child (pictured above) to fulfill their request for dresses and shorts for the organization’s Christmas boxes which it sends all over the world to children in need.

Since the group began a Little Dresses for Africa project in 2011, they have constructed and donated 5,600 dresses and hundreds of pairs of shorts. The sewing group meets Wednesday mornings in the parish hall for sewing and fellowship.
