Find Joy This Lent at West Dundee Retreat
March 24, 2022
WEST DUNDEE—St. Catherine of Siena Parish is continuing its Lenten journey with a retreat titled “Finding Joy.” Two final sessions of the retreat are set for March 29 and April 5, 7-8 p.m., in the church building, 845 W. Main St.

Although sessions build on each other, first-time attendees are, of course, welcome. The “Finding Joy” retreat will consist of song, prayer, priest reflection, fellowship and small group
discussions.

The topics for the remaining sessions are:

♦ March 29: “Finding Joy through Suffering,” led by Father David Reese, parochial vicar at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, and

♦ April 5: “Finding Joy through Virtuous Living,” led by Father Robert Blood, spiritual director at St. Edward Central Catholic High School, Elgin.

“Lent is traditionally a privileged time for more prayer, almsgiving, and fasting,” said Father John McNamara, pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. “It is also a good time to reflect on how we can be more joyful disciples of Jesus Christ.”

The “Finding Joy” retreat is open to the whole family. Hospitality for children will be available.
