Sister Alban Hermes, OP — 75 years
SINSINAWA, Wis.—Sinsinawa Dominican Sister Alban Hermes celebrates her 75th jubilee. Sister Alban’s ministry has been dedicated to teaching and pastoral ministry, serving in the Archdioceses of Chicago, St. Paul and Minneapolis, Mobile, and Milwaukee, and the Diocese of Green Bay. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Alban taught at St. Michael, Galena, (1956-1960). Sister Alban now is living in community at the motherhouse, Sinsinawa. 
 
Sister Constance Lennartz, OP — 70 years
SINSINAWA, Wis.—Sinsinawa Dominican Sister Constance “Connie” Lennartz celebrates her 70th jubilee. Sister Connie’s ministry has been dedicated to teaching and parish ministry. She has served in the Archdioceses of Dubuque, St. Paul and Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, and the Dioceses of Madison, Charleston, Birmingham, and Tulsa. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Connie taught at Aquin Catholic Schools, Freeport, (1976-1981), and served as the diocesan associate youth minister while living in DeKalb, (1982-1984). She is now lives at St. Elizabeth Manor, Footville, Wis. 
 
Sister Judith Seiberlich, OP — 60 years
KENOSHA, Wis.—Sinsinawa Dominican Sister Judith Seiberlich celebrates her 60th jubilee in 2022. Her religious name was Sister Marie Franz. Sister Judy’s ministry has been dedicated to education. She served in the Archdioceses of Chicago and St. Paul and Minneapolis. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Judy taught at Aquin Central Catholic High School, Freeport, (1972-1976). She now lives and volunteers in Kenosha.
 
Springfield Dominicans
Sister June Volpe, OP — 60 years
SPRINGFIELD—Springfield Dominican Sister June Volpe celebrates 60 years. She taught in Jacksonville, East Alton, East Moline, Quincy, Peoria, Bradley and Springfield. She served in Lima, Peru, at San Juan Pablo II School (1991-1993). In the Rockford Diocese, she taught at Holy Angels School, Aurora, (1985-1987), and English at Waubonsee College and College of DuPage in Aurora (1998-2004). She was a teacher and pastoral associate at St. Therese Parish, Aurora (1994-1998) and taught at St. Peter School there. She now serves in pastoral care in Madison, Miss.
 
Sister Mary Jean Traeger, OP — 60 years
SPRINGFIELD—Springfield Dominican Sister Mary Jean Traeger celebrates her 60th jubilee. She served 16 years in leadership for her religious community. She taught music, served in parish choirs, was principal, directed Benincasa Renewal Center and served in parish pastoral leadership. In the Rockford Diocese, Sister Mary Jean taught music at St. Peter School in Aurora (1966-1969). In 2017 Sister Mary Jean worked as a trainer/facilitator for Crossroads Antiracism Training before beginning her current ministry of prayer in 2019.
 
Sister Catherine Mary Currie, OP — 50 years
AURORA—Sister Catherine Mary Currie celebrates her golden jubilee. She taught at schools in Springfield, Decatur, Chicago and in Evergreen Park. In the Diocese of Rockford, she taught at St. Thomas More School in Elgin (1990-1991) and at SS. Peter and Paul School in Cary (1991-1993). At Rosary High School she was executive assistant and secretary for the school administration and governing board, 2006-2021. In 2021 she received the Alumnae Spirit Award from Rosary. She now is at Sacred Heart Convent in Springfield.

Sister De Lourdes Rechenmacher, OSF — 85 years
MILWAUKEE—Sister De Lourdes Rechenmacher celebrates her 85th jubilee. She was a teacher, principal, religious education coordinator, technical assistant, and a caregiver in schools and other facilities in Naperville, New York City, Omaha and Milwaukee. In the Diocese of Rockford, she taught at St. Mary School in McHenry (1961-1962 and 1965-67) and was principal (1962-1965). She taught at Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Aurora (1967-1972) and St. Edward School in Rockford (1979-1981), and was religious education coordinator at St. Edward Parish (1981-1990). She now serves in the ministry of prayer and presence at Sacred Heart Center in Milwaukee.
 
Sister Carmelyn Du Buque, OSF — 75 years
MILWAUKEE—Sister Carmelyn Du Buque celebrates her 75th jubilee. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Carmelyn served as a homemaker at Madonna High School Convent in Aurora (1949-1956). She served as a homemaker at St. Mark Convent in Kenosha (1948-1949), and at Alverno College as personnel director for non-academic staff (1956-1972), in inventory control (1979-1992), and as the director of purchasing (1992-2006). She currently serves in the ministry of prayer and presence at Sacred Heart Center in Milwaukee. 
 
Sister Mary Agnes Fleckenstein, OSF — 70 years
MILWAUKEE—Sister Mary Agnes Fleckenstein celebrates her 70th jubilee. She taught in schools in Naperville, Steger, Roselle, Bloomingdale, Joliet, Westville, Waukegan, Ceder Lake, Ind. In the Diocese of Rockford, she served as a teacher aide and substitute teacher at Montini School in McHenry (1996-2006). She has served in the ministry of prayer and presence at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, Wis., (2006-2013), at St. Joseph Convent Motherhouse in Milwaukee (2013-2020), and since 2020 at Sacred Heart Center in Milwaukee.
 
Sister Joan McCoy, OSF — 70 years
OMAHA—Sister Joan McCoy celebrates her 70th jubilee. She served as a teacher at schools in Forest Park, Winsted, and in Nebraska. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Joan taught at St. Theresa School in Aurora (1973-1978). She later served parish and pastoral ministry including in the Diocese of El Paso, Texas, (2004-2012), in the Diocese of Chulucanas, Peru (1978-1980), in the Diocese of Piura, Peru, Sister served in Paita (1980-1998), in the Diocese of San José, Costa Rica, (1971-1973). In the 1950s and 1960s, Sister Joan served in the Archdiocese of Omaha, and again from 1998-2004. She currently resides in Omaha.
 
Sister Mary Acerbi, OSF — 60 years
NASHVILLE—Sister Mary Acerbi celebrates her 60th jubilee. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Mary served as food service manager at St. Francis School in Freeport (1978-1988) where she also served as dietary manager (1988). She ministered as food services supervisor at Maria Linden Retirement Center in Rockford (1988-1992), where she also served as a dietary food service assistant (1991-1993). Her other service includes as homemaker and food service manager in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Since 1997, Sister Mary has been a teacher aide at Project Reflect in Nashville where she currently resides.
 
Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary
Sister Mary Stella Schellenberger, SSCM — 70 years
KANKAKEE—Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary Sister Mary Stella Schellenberger celebrates her 70th jubilee. She was a musician, teacher, religious education director and in RCIA, serving in Momence, Joliet, Chicago, Geneva and Bourbonnais. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Mary Stella served and resided in Batavia for 17 years, serving also in Geneva. In retirement, Sister Mary Stella helps coordinate rentals of the Hermitages and use of One Heart, One Soul Spirituality Center in Kankakee. She leads retreats and teaches watercolor painting and is involved in the RCIA program at Maternity BVM Parish, Bourbonnais. 
 
Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart
Sister M. Alexine Knotek, OSF — 70 years
This year, Sister M. Alexine Knotek celebrates her 70th jubilee of her entrance into the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Frankfort. She is a registered nurse and served in nursing, hospital administration and congregation ministries. In the Diocese of Rockford, she was assistant administrator at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin (1973-1976) and was responsible for coordinating the move of the hospital to its current location on Airlight Street. Sister Alexine served also in various positions at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet for many years in the 1960s, 1970, 1990s and from 2004-2009. Additionally, she served as general secretary and archivist for her congregation, administrator for a health care home, and novice directress. She now is semi-retired at St. Francis Woods in Frankfort.
 
Sister Lois Ann Cline, OSF — 70 years
FRANKFORT—Sister Lois Ann Cline celebrates her 70th jubilee of entrance this year as a Franciscan Sister of the Sacred Heart. She served in elementary education, religious education, congregation administration and hospitality/homemaking. Her service was in several locations including Shererville and Fort Wayne, Ind., and in Peru, Mokena and Frankfort, Illinois. In the Diocese of Rockford, Sister Lois Ann provided hospitality and homemaking at Holy Trinity Convent in Rockford and participated at Holy Family Parish (1999-2015). She now is retired at St. Francis Woods in Frankfort.
