ELGIN—St. Laurence Parish will hold a dedication concert June 26, 3-4:15 p.m., to honor the installation of the parish’s new pipe organ. The concert will be held in the church, 225 Jewett St. 

 

The 14-rank (14 rows of pipes) H.A. Howell organ was recovered from a church being remodeled into a childcare facility in Oregon. 

 

The concert will feature Stephanie Gurga, an internationally-renowned musician and St. Charles native who grew up at St. Patrick Parish.

 

Music will include classical works and congregational hymns. Donations welcome.
