Processions Begin Diocesan Phase of Eucharistic Revival
June 30, 2022
DIOCESE—The National Eucharistic Revival  kicked off on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, June 19. The Revival, a three-year initiative sponsored by the Bishops of the United States, calls Catholics to a renewed encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist — the Source and Summit of our Catholic faith.

The first of the Revival’s three phases, the diocesan phase, began in the
Diocese of Rockford  on June 19 at the Cathedral of St. Peter with a Mass
  celebrated by Bishop David Malloy.

A Eucharistic procession and adoration followed. Coverage of the procession
at the Cathedral can be found on the front page of the June 24 issue of The Observer.

Parishes around the diocese joined the diocesan celebration with Masses and Eucharistic processions — some large, some small.
