Signing Sessions Set for How-to Book on St. Joseph Altars

ROCKFORD—Readers curious about the traditions, recipes and displays of annual St. Joseph altars need look no further than Laura Padron’s book, “How to Build St. Joseph Altars: A Feast for the Soul,” which will be available at book signings during the first week of August. 
 
Padron will sign copies each day at the cultural tent at Festa Italiana, Aug. 5-7, at Boylan Central Catholic High School, 4000 St. Francis Dr. 
 
⇒ Aug. 5: 5-11 p.m.
 
⇒ Aug. 6: 12-11 p.m.
 
⇒ Aug. 7: 12-8 p.m.
 
Other signing sessions are tentatively planned at various locations including Vineyard Books and Gifts in Rockford and St. Bridget Parish in Loves Park. Look for details in future issues of The Observer. 
 
The book, written to honor St. Joseph and raise awareness of St. Joseph altars, will “hopefully bring people closer to God,” Padron said. More details on the book can be found in the Dec. 3, 2021 issue of The Observer.
