AURORA—Marmion Academy will welcome Glenn Brown as the Head Varsity Swimming Coach and Aaron Nieckula as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach this coming year. 

 

Glenn Brown has been an assistant swim coach for Marmion for the past nine years. In addition to his duties at Marmion, he coached Rosary High School’s swim team for the past eight years, serving as head coach the last three years. While with Rosary, he helped lead the Beads to three State titles and five trophies. 

 

Over more than 20 years, Brown has coached hundreds of State, Sectional, Junior National, National, and Olympic Trial qualifiers.

 

Aaron Nieckula played five seasons in the Minor Leagues, reaching the Triple A level. 

 

After his playing career, Nieckula was a member of the Oakland Athletics Player Development system from 2004-2020 working in roles as a hitting coach, manager, and Field Coordinator. After coaching for 10 seasons, Nieckula earned a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in 2016.

 

 Nieckula is the co-founder, President and CEO of a youth sports training and consulting organization dedicated to the personal growth and development of baseball and softball coaches and players.
