Masses for Father Samuel Mazzuchelli and St. Lorenzo Ruiz are scheduled

Mazzuchelli memorial Mass Aug. 28
LANCASTER, Wis.—The annual Father Samuel Mazzuchelli Memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 28 at St. Patrick Church, Benton, Wis.
Father Mazzuchelli is known for establishing over 35 parishes and building over 24 churches, including St. Michael Church in Galena.
Tours of Father Mazzuchelli’s home and grave site, as well as a church he built, will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost: none.
Filipino Community Mass Sept. 25
LOVES PARK—The Greater Rockford Filipino American Catholic Community (GRFACC) will hold a Mass, procession and rosary for the Feast of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, a Filipino martyr who was tortured and killed for his faith after traveling to Japan.
The feast day celebration will be at St. Bridget Parish, 600 Clifford Ave.
The procession will be at 4 p.m., followed by a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and then a Mass celebrated by Bishop David Malloy.
A potluck dinner will follow.
