GENEVA—Young men between the ages of 12 and 25 in the Rockford Diocese joined diocesan seminarians and Father Jack Reichardt, the diocesan Director of Vocations, for a one-day Encounter retreat Aug. 13 at St. Peter Parish. 

 

The vocations retreat is named for what it calls the men to do: to retreat from daily life, encounter God and listen to His voice. Father Reichardt explained this in an email to participants: “How do we know where we should go? By taking the time to listen to the voice of Jesus.”

 

The day included talks and small groups, games, Mass, confession, and time for reflection and prayer.
