Parishes to Hold Mental Health Classes

ST. CHARLES, WONDER LAKE—St. John Neumann Parish in St. Charles and Christ the King Parish in Wonder Lake will hold classes on mental health, starting in September. 
 
-- St. John Neumann Parish, 2900 E. Main St., will offer an eight-week series called “The Sanctuary Course for Catholics.” Meeting will be weekly on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m., from Sept. 22 through Nov. 10.
 
The course is designed to raise awareness and start conversations in parishes regarding mental health.
 
The sessions feature videos on a variety of topics with insights of archbishops, theologians and psychologists. Small group discussions will follow the videos. There is no homework, and all are welcome. To register, visit https://www.sjnstcharles.org/the-sanctuary-course/
 
-- Christ the King Parish, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Rd., will hold a mental health seminar Sept. 18, 1-5 p.m.
 
The class, called “Mental Health 101 for Catholics,” will feature Dr. Christina Fleming as the guest speaker.
