Men’s Conference Nov. 19

DEKALB—The 27th annual Great Lakes Catholic Men’s Conference, which draws thousands of men to be inspired in their Catholic faith, is set for Nov. 19 at the Holmes Student Center on the campus of Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. 
 
The doors open at 8 a.m., and the event begins at 8:50 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m.  
 
The day will include speakers, vendors, music, time for reconciliation and reflection, lunch and the celebration of Mass. 
 
This year’s speakers include Chris Stefanick, an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and television host; Father Donald H. Calloway, MIC, a member  of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception; and John Morales, an experienced bilingual journalist, sports anchor, reporter, filmmaker, and public speaker.
 
Wayne Messmer will again serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the Great Lakes Catholic Men’s Conference. Messmer is most well known for his singing at Chicago Cubs baseball games and Chicago Wolves hockey games.
 
Tickets are $45 each purchased in advance before Oct. 25. $50 after Oct. 25 and $55 at the door. College students and younger are $25 each and permanent deacons are admitted for $10. Tickets include lunch and parking.
