McHenry Parish Top Fundraiser

McHenry’s Church of Holy Apostles took part in the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser for the second time this year, raising $31,228 in donations.

MCHENRY—For a second year in a row, Church of Holy Apostles, here, organized a team of more than 80 parishioners to participate in the St. Baldrick’s Shave to fight kids’ cancer.

Participants of all ages, elderly to a baby only 7 months old,  lined up to shed their locks for a good cause.

The parish team was in first place in the community for donations raised with $31,228 in donations.

Parish team member Barb Haffner was the top participant in the community by raising $8,875 in donations.

The entire McHenry area community raised $187,350 for the cause.
