ROCKFORD—The Catholic Women’s League will host its annual fundraiser, La Promesse, Sept. 17 at Giovanni’s Restaurant, 610 N. Bell School Road, here, beginning with a social hour at 10:30 a.m.

This year’s theme is “Music from the Heart.”

The luncheon raises money to continue the League’s 105 year legacy of dedication and service to those in the greater Rockford community.

A basket raffle, silent auction, and a raffle of three, $500  prizes will be part of the event.

Singer Patte Armato Lund, a Rockford vocalist, will present a program of well known melodies.

Tickets are $35 and reservations are due by Sept. 12.  

There are three choices on the menu: limone feta spinach chicken, herb-crusted tilapia with caper butter sauce, and crispy eggplant over basmati rice (a vegetarian option). The first course will be a wild mesclun blend salad with Italian dressing and dessert will be ganache red velvet cheesecake.
