ROCKFORD—The Advent Bible Lecture Series will open its 15th season, Nov. 30.
The three-part series features John McGrath, diocesan director of Faith Formation, who has selected “The Parables of Jesus” as his topic this year.
Sessions will take place on the first three Sundays of Advent from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St. in Rockford.
Talk topics are:
Nov. 30 — Why Did Jesus Tell Parables;
Dec. 7 — Wisdom for Advent in Jesus’ Parables;
Dec. 14 — Living the Truth of Jesus’ Parables.
Participants should bring a Bible.
The annual series is jointly sponsored by the Rockford Deanery Council of Catholic Women and the Rockford Deanery Bible Fellowship for Men.
