Huntley Parish to Host a ‘First’ for Evangelization

HUNTLEY—An event of Spirit-filled enthusiasm is coming to St. Mary Parish, 10307 Dundee Road, here, and to other sites in all of North America on April 24-25.

The first New Evangelization Summit will feature a gathering in Ottawa, Canada, of some of the best presenters that English-speaking Catholicism has to offer.

The event will be live-streamed to host sites across the continent including Huntley.

Speakers include Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. Ralph Martin, Father Michael Gaitley, Patrick Coffin, Ken Yasinski, Father James Mallon, Michael Dopp and the Rockford Diocese’s own JoEllen Gregus of Light of the World Evangelization Ministries.

The summit is an all-Catholic version of live-streamed events that have gathered, energized and renewed Evangelical Christians for several years.

Pariticipants will be inspired to share the love of Christ, learn how to do so, and connect with like-minded Catholics April 24, 6:30-9:15 p.m., and continuing on April 25, 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m.

Mass will be offered before the summit by Bishop David Malloy at 8 a.m.
