ELGIN—The 2015 Latino Film Festival opens at Elgin Community College April 10 with a 6 p.m. film and reception.
The opening film from Chile is “Natural Disasters/Desastres Naturales.”
Other films at ECC are:
â–º April 11, 5 p.m., a family friendly film from Mexico, “Dr. Funes’ Formula/La Fórmula del Doctor Funes” and 7 p.m. “The Perfect Size/La Justa Medida,” a Colombian film.
â–º April 17, 6 p.m. “3 Beauties/3 Bellezas,” from Venezuela, and 8 p.m. “The Seventh Floor/Septimo,” from Spain and Argentina.
On April 12, two films will be shown at Marcus Theatres, 111 S. Randall Road, Elgin. The Dominican Republic film “The Stranger/La Extraña” will be shown at 3:30 p.m., and at 6 p.m. “The Womb/El Vientre” from Peru.
Films are in Spanish with English subtitles.
Tickets are $10 per person per film. Admission to the opening night reception is $25 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens.
Festival-goers will also hear about the film, “Full of Grace,” produced by Outside da Box studio in St. Charles.
