Tickets Still on Sale for Classic Car

FREEPORT—There is still time to buy raffle tickets to help the Madonna Renewal Center, a pregnancy care center to be operated by  the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, here.

An anonymous donor has given the sisters  a completely original 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, four-door car with approximately 79,000 miles, a V-8  with a 283 cubic inch engine and a two-barrel carb.

Tickets will be $100 each with only 500 to be sold.  Second prize is $750 and third prize is $500.

The drawing will be held at noon on Oct. 17 on the grounds of the Madonna Renewal Center, 1209 S. Walnut Ave., here.  

All funds will go towards the continuing restoration of the old St. Francis Hospital and School  into the Madonna Renewal Center.
