Marmion to Honor Vets at Nov. 13 Event
AURORA—Marmion Academy will honor veterans at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Alumni Hall gym, 1000 Butterfield Road, here.

Guest of honor will be Dawn Seif, widow of Marmion graduate SSgt Andrew Seif. The Marine died in a training accident March 6, 2015, just days after receiving the Silver Star for his service in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also received the 2013 USO Marine of the Year award.

The annual observance is open to the public.
 

Holy Apostles Mass To Honor Veterans

MCHENRY—A Mass honoring veterans will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road, here.

A reception to follow will be sponsored by the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Veterans who served during the Vietnam Era (1955 to 1975), are asked to call Ginny Stubblefield at 815/363-6051 to register for the event. They  will be recognized that evening.

Veteran’s families, friends and supporters are welcome to attend.
