Golf Outing to Help Paralyzed Mother
May 12, 2016

WEST DUNDEE—On June 20, you can golf “fore” a good cause at the second Eileen Strong golf outing at The Golf Club of Illinois, 1575 Edgewood Dr. in Algonquin.

The event will both honor and benefit paralyzed local mother and wife Eileen Reedy.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Cocktails, dinner and auction events will round out the event beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The Reedy’s are active members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in West Dundee and supporters of St. Edward Central Catholic High School in Elgin, where their three children, Patrick, Jacquelyn and Bridget were graduates.

Eileen experienced a fall in 2014 that left her paralyzed from the chest down. With the community’s support, the determined mother of three has regained some movement
in her arms and legs and can walk with a walker for a short distance.

Proceeds from the golf outing will be collected through the nonprofit HelpHOPELive to help cover uninsured expenses associated with her injury. Those bills exceeded $800,000 in 2015 and will continue to exceed $200,000 annually.

Cost is $175 per player or $700 for a team of four.  Cocktails and dinner only is $75
per person.

Outing sponsorship information is available from Martha Davis at 847/590-5100, ext.5035 or mdavis@tollbrothers.com.

Non-golfers may donate at helphopelive.org,  by calling 800/642-8399 or sending checks “in honor of Eileen Reedy” to HelpHOPELive, 2 Radnor Corporate Center, Suite 100, 100 Matsonford Road, Radnor, Pa. 19087.
