Pilgrim Statue Comes To Rockford Diocese
September 1, 2016

DIOCESE—Since March 20 and continuing until December 2017, the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima is making a 21-month journey across America, honoring the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima.

It will be in the Rockford Diocese Sept. 11-15.

The tour is part of a nation-wide call to prayer and penance for peace in our nation and conversion of hearts.

The goal is an outpouring of grace to allow Our Lady of Fatima to claim her dominion over our country through her Immaculate Heart.

Jose Thedim sculpted the statue in 1947, based on Sister Lucia’s description of her encounters with Our Lady in Fatima.

The statue travels east of the Mississippi in 2016 and west of the Mississippi in 2017.
