See Life with Poor Clare Nuns March 7

February 12, 2026

ROCKFORD—Are you curious about the hidden life of Rockford’s Poor Clare Colettine sisters?

This March, the Poor Clares invite young women to “come and see” what life is like within the enclosure. Prayer, contemplation, and community create a “tenor of life that binds us together in a family spirit,” says their invitation.

The “Come and See” day will be March 7, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., at Corpus Christi Monastery, 2111 S. Main St., here. Single women between 16 and 30 are welcome.

The day will include talks by the sisters, praying with the community, Liturgy of the Hours, talking with a sister, a question-and-answer session, a Eucharistic Holy Hour, Benediction, opportunities for confession, Mass and more. The sisters encourage attendees to bring a journal and wear modest chapel attire.

Lunch will be provided. Cost: none. Register by Feb. 25 at https://www.rockfordpoorclares.org/latest/come-and-see-visit or call 815-963-7343.
