Prayers, Action Sought On Born-Alive Act
February 21, 2019
DIOCESE—A vote is expected on Feb. 25 in the U.S. Senate on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S. 311/H.R 962).

If passed, it would require health care providers to care for an abortion survivor as they would any newborn.

Archbishop Joseph Naumann, chairman of the USCCB committee on Pro-Life Activities, has called on Congress to vote yes on the act.

Through the Human Life Action Center, the bishops are asking Catholics to contact their senators (in some cases for a second time) and urge them to be present for the vote and to vote yes for S. 311.
