WOODSTOCK—St. Mary Church welcomed parishioners back into the church the weekend of Feb. 6-7 after extensive renovations were completed right on schedule.

 

The project began Dec. 26 and has used funds dedicated solely to, and available for, church beautification. The work was completed by the target finish date of Feb. 5.

 

The work included removing old and installing new carpeting. replacing pew upholstery and renewing the kneelers. 

 

The pews were stained and coated and the hardwood floor was refinished. Finally, new cove lighting was installed.

 

The work was completed in part by contractors and in part by “very experienced” parishioners, says Kate Pollack, parish communications coordinator.
