AURORA—Charles Schultz's Peanuts comic strip comes to life in Clark Gesner's classic musical, “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” to be performed at Rosary High School, 901 N. Edgelawn Dr., here. 

 

There will be six socially-distanced performances as well as a livestream. Seating is limited due to safety protocols.

 

The cast, crew, and pit orchestra includes more than 40 Rosary students. Music is provided by select members of the Rosary Symphony Orchestra, the Rosary Chamber Orchestra, and some local musicians. 

 

The opening was May 6 at 6 p.m., with additional shows  May 7 at 7 p.m.; May 8 at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and May 9 at 2 p.m. 

 

Three casts will be performing. To be sure to see a show featuring a certain performer,  check the cast list at www.rosaryhs.com/musical before choosing your tickets. 

 

Tickets are $12 for adults,  $10 for students, senior citizens, and children; and $15 for a family livestream. 

Adults over 21 may visit “The Peanut Gallery” before the show and during intermission on May 7 and 8 in the evenings. A family picnic with the characters ($10/$5) is planned for May 8 at noon. Concessions will be available for all in the lobby.
