Diocesan Retreat Invites Young Men to ‘Encounter’ God’s Call
August 4, 2022
GENEVA—Young men between the ages of 12 and 25 in the Rockford Diocese are invited to discern the vocation God is calling them to at a one-day Encounter retreat. The retreat will be held on Aug. 13, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at St. Peter Parish, 1891 Kaneville Rd. The retreat is free and lunch is included.
Father Jack Reichardt, the diocesan Director of Vocations, will lead the retreat, joined by diocesan seminarians. The day will include talks and small groups (sorted by age), games, Mass, confession, and time for reflection and prayer.
In an email to those who have already expressed interest in vocations retreats, Father Reichardt wrote: “The Lord is calling each of us to a unique life of fulfillment and joy, yet how do we know where we should go? By taking the time to listen to the voice of Jesus.”
Take the opportunity Aug. 13 to listen to the voice of Jesus. Register for the retreat at https://tinyurl.com/2p9zvbea
