Come and See Religious Life In-Person, Virtually

BATAVIA—National Vocation Awareness Week, Nov. 6-12, is dedicated to promoting vocations in the priesthood, diaconate and religious life. One order in the Diocese of Rockford, the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary, will hold three discernment events as part of this week. 
 
A virtual “Come and See” will welcome women who feel called to religious life on Nov. 10, 6:30-8 p.m. Contact Kathy Brady-Murfin at 815-814-1414 or sscm.vocations@gmail.com to register and receive a Zoom link. 
 
An open house at the order’s province center Nov. 5, 1:30-3:30 p.m., will be at One Heart One Soul Spirituality Center, 2041 W. State Rte. 113 in Kankakee. 
 
A second open house will be at the order’s formation community Nov. 12, 1-3 p.m., at the Nazareth Spirituality Center, 717 N. Batavia Ave. 
 
Participants will have the opportunity to meet the religious sisters, tour community buildings — the retreat house, hermitages, convent and more — and explore the grounds.
