DIOCESE—Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Rockford will offer the Sanctuary Course for Catholics, an eight-part course for small groups designed to raise awareness and start conversations regarding mental health. 

 

The course will be offered online on Microsoft Teams, starting March 1 and continuing weekly on Wednesdays. Meetings will be at 7 p.m. There will be no meeting on April 5 during Holy Week.

 

The Sanctuary Course, developed in collaboration with Catholic mental health professionals, theologians, and clergy, covers topics including mental health and mental illness, stigma, recovery and companionship. 

 

The sessions include films and discussions, but no homework. The course is free.
