The following are two mental health ministry events coming up in the Diocese of Rockford. Though both are about mental health, the events are different and separate offerings. 

 

â–º WONDER LAKE—Mental Health 101 for Catholics: Hosted by Christ the King Parish, Feb. 18, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the church building, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Rd.

 

Will cover symptoms, treatments and recovery for mental illnesses, as well as ways for the Church to respond.

 

Cost: none. Lunch will be provided around 12:15 p.m.

â–º HUNTLEY—Film and discussion series: Hosted by St. Mary Parish for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide. Meetings are monthly on Sundays, 3-4:30 p.m.: Feb. 26, March 26, April 23, May 21, June 25, July 30, Aug. 27 and Sept. 24. Will be held at the parish hall, 10307 Dundee Rd.

 

Not recommended for anyone 17 years old and under.
