WEST DUNDEE—A presentation on the Holy Face of Jesus, Holy Relic and Devotion, will be held on March 20, 6:30 p.m., at at St. Catherine of Siena Parish on 845 W. Main St.

Vicki Schreiner, speaker and author, will present on the history, people, places and events that shaped the devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus. Her family has had the Holy Face of Jesus relic since her great-grandparents immigrated to the United States from Germany in the early 1900s.

The Holy Face of Jesus engraving has been touched to three relics: Veronica’s veil, the wood of the Cross and the lance that pierced Jesus’ side. These facts are verified by a papal seal and a  certificate of authenticity signed by His Holiness, Pope St. Pius X.

Three years ago, Schreiner was appointed as guardian of her family's relic. After extensive research on the Holy Face of Jesus, her ministry to its devotion began. She has done numerous presentations of the Holy Face of Jesus Devotion across the country.

"We are looking forward to this beautiful presentation on the Holy Face of Jesus and Holy Relic at our church," said Father John McNamara, pastor. "What better time than during the Lenten season will it be for us to learn more about this holy devotion."
