ROCKFORD—At  Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Gerald Kobbeman blessed the three returning officers of the Catholic Women’s League after its annual Mass for Peace on May 17.

 

Officers are: Jacki Giacone, president; Marilyn Wholey, secretary; and Mary Kay Tapp, treasurer. 

 

“Our world is badly in need of peace and people who act in peace,” Msgr. Kobbeman said in his homily, noting that Jesus’ promised gift of peace is a gift of the Holy Spirit.

 

“A person fully alive in the Spirit and sharing (peace) with others” is how the priest described someone who has that true peace.
