DIOCESE—As of Aug. 1, Jennifer Dombrowski is the new Coordinator of Marriage Preparation for the Life and Family Evangelization (LiFE) Office of the Diocese of Rockford. 

 

Dombrowski most recently served as coordinator of Youth and Adult Ministry at SS. Peter and Paul Parish in Cary. There she coordinated activities, conferences, and missions for grades 10-12 and for adult education/ministry at the parish.

 

In her new position, Dombrowski will be responsible for planning and implementing diocesan marriage preparation seminars and retreats for newly engaged and civilly married couples who are planning marriage in the diocese. That includes forming and coordinating retreat teams of presenters, presenting at the events, and staffing the events. 

 

She will also assist parents and parishes in remote marriage preparation of children and adolescents — a way of presenting the teaching of the vocation of marriage to the youngest Catholics. 

 

Dombrowski has a B.A. in education from Eastern Illinois University and certification from the diocesan Ministry Formation and Catechetical Leadership programs.
