SHANNON—In remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001, attack, the St. Wendelin Knights of Columbus here will hold its annual Blue Mass to bless members of law enforcement, fire fighters, emergency service personnel and emergency medical teams on Monday, Sept. 11. 

 

The gathering begins at the Shannon Fire Station flag pole on S. Hickory St. followed by a two-block-long procession at 6:30 p.m. and the Blue Mass at 7 p.m. at St. Wendelin Church, 18 South Linn St. Father Michael Bolger, pastor, will celebrate and Chaplin Ellis Boughton of the Shannon Fire Department will participate. 

 

Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will serve as the honor guard.
