Christ the King Parish welcomed the Silver Rose for a prayer service Aug. 18.

Each year, eight silver roses travel throughout North America, commemorating the roses that Mary gave to St. Juan Diego. They advance the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Attending an Aug. 19 Silver Rose prayer service at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish were Father Robert Jones, parish pastor and chaplain of Council 3880; Father William Tunarosa; Knights of Columbus and Caballeros De Colon Council #3880 and #10678; the 4th Degree Honor Guard; Knights on Bikes; and parishioners of St Thomas.
