Art exhibit at Marmion through Nov. 1 -- Marmion Academy’s Dr. Scholl Gallery will host the show “Teachers and Artists, Lisa and Louise” through Nov. 1 at 1000 Butterfield Rd.

Christmas craft show Nov. 18 -- St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish’s annual “Christmas in the Country” craft show will be Nov. 18, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., on the parish grounds at 1023 McHenry Ave.
 
Hand-made items, baked goods and candy will be available from over 65 craft vendors. A grand raffle will award 5 prizes. Sponsored by the parish’s women’s group. Admission is $3.

Advent Lessons and Carols Dec. 6 -- St. Mary Parish will hold Advent Lessons and Carols Dec. 6, 6-7 p.m. at the church, 10307 Dundee Rd. Theme: “His Real Presence Among Us” with Advent prayers and music by the Rockford Diocesan Chorale.
 
This annual event is co-sponsored by the Diocese of Rockford Office of Divine Worship and the Office of Charitable Giving. All are welcome.

Mental health ministry retreat Nov. 4 -- Catholic Charities’ Mental Health Ministry will hold a retreat Nov. 4, 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m., at St. John Neumann Parish’s Hoffman Center, 2900 E Main St. Father David Peck and Father Connor Orabutt will lead.

Fall play Nov. 10-12 -- Marian Central Catholic High School’s fall play “Alice in Wonderland” will be Nov. 10-12 in the auditorium at 1001 McHenry Ave. Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
